Why Pilates

I began taking Pilates classes after the birth of my third child.  The exercises were just what I needed to restore strength, stabilize my spine, and in a nutshell scoop everything together from the inside out.  As a physical therapist, much of the root of the injuries I was working with were related to posture and muscle imbalances.  The Pilates repertoire of exercises targets the deep core muscles to facilitate elongation, stabilize joints and restore muscle imbalances. The effect is decreased pain, improved mobility and overall strength to enable you to live life fully and do what you love best!
